PM Modi announced the Gati Shakti Master Plan on Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on India’s 75th Independence Day that the Centre would launch the “PM Gati Shakti Master Plan”. He also established a National Hydrogen Mission and set a goal of making India energy independent by 2047 by replacing petroleum with other kinds of energy, citing the country’s annual energy import bill of Rs 12 trillion.

About Gati Shakti Master Plan

It’s a Rs. 100-crore project aimed at creating “holistic infrastructure”. The strategy aims to improve road, rail, air, and river interconnection in order to cut travel time and increase industrial production. The infrastructure drive is in line with the government’s aim to boost infrastructure spending in order to boost economic growth.

Focus area of the Project

In the future, the project will provide youth with work prospects. Infrastructure development has the potential to provide a multiplier impact, resulting in substantially better returns for every rupee invested. It will assist local firms to gain a global presence and compete with their international peers.
